Global game market sales in 2025 are expected to reach $197 billion (approximately ¥31 trillion), up 7.5% from the previous year. This is primarily due to the strong performance of the PC and mobile game markets. The mobile game market had the highest sales overall, growing 7.7% to $108 billion (approximately ¥17 trillion). The home game console market grew 4.2% to $45 billion (approximately ¥7.1 trillion), supported by factors such as the release of Nintendo’s Nintendo Switch 2. PC game market sales increased 10.4% to $43 billion (approximately ¥6.8 trillion).
